Smoking will only be allowed in locally agreed and designated areas. Such areas will be agreed on between the site manager with appropriate expert input and the local CWU Union representatives.

The above is the problem if your DOM wants to be funny.

he tried to be funny intil i quoted that and told him it was written by his boss's!!

AT WTLL WE WERE TOLD THERE WILL BE NO SMOKING ON ROYAL MAIL PROPERTY, IN RM VANS BUT YOU CAN SIT IN YOUR CAR, IN THE CAR PARK ON RM PROPERTY AND SMOKE. DO THESE IDIOTS KNOW WHAT THEY'RE ON ABOUT???

They have all had the letter that's in the link in here,my Lino showed it to me the other day,i had already had an argument with him regarding him saying not on RM property at all.

I've been told that come the 1st of July no smoking will be allowed anywhere on Royal Mail property and that any smokers will have to step outside the gates. Is this true? :cfo :lfo

this gets me lol, i smoke, ok to much i know, but if they wanted to go completely smoke free why not just making cigerettes?,( my guess is) the underlying factor is they know a lot of people wont quit and therefore they can fill their coffers by fining the smoker.

Government will never stop making cigarettes or make it too difficult for people using their cars for only 1 reason.

Tax from Petrol In the 2004â€“05 fiscal year, fuel duty alone generated approximately Â£23.5 billion and this does not include the VAT raised on the fuel sold.

in 2001/2002 they got Â£9.5 Billion from Tobacco - (probably closer to Â£20 Billion now).

i know you aint allowed to smoke in our vans but i do

now theres stickers in all vans asking members of the public if they see the driver of this van smoking to ring a bloody number to report him

Does this mean 4 metres from OMV's if they use same carpark as they're classed as a workplace?
