In our office they can only flex you 1/2 hour so if they flex you up by 1/2 hour on saturday (would make our finish time 12.30) they will have had to flexed you down 1/2 hr another day. Perhaps they will flex you down on a Thursday (joke).

This flex is only 'exceptional circumstances'

Not to be used willy nilly. OMV breakdown, fog, bad weather (snow etc), flooding, unaccountable mail increase where they have tried to staff/plan every other way. NOT to be used on a daily basis. To be paid back during the same week unless maybe on a Friday or Saturday then it could be carried over to the following week.

All Saturday times will revert to the original times before the dispute ( pay and modernization agreement 2007 ) God there not breaking a legally binding agreement does this mean your office is the first management breach of the agreement can we all now roll back this satanist agreement once and for all?. IS THE PAY AND MODERNIZATION AGREEMENT 2007 NOW DEAD AND BURIED IN IT'S OWN BUREAUCRACY AND INCOMPREHENSION!.

its amazing how we all work for the same company but things run different from office to office this site certaintanly shows you that some offices have it a lot worse than others

Good grief. That part wasn't even given as an option! The good old local CWU said no :no no The older numpties that worked in my office didn't want a short sat so it's all straight 8 hours a day except the S/A day which is 7.20? And the best bit is that we have more mail on the sat to deliver than any other day during the week :hmmmm

They cant flex you on a saturday as the 1/2 hour has to be returned by the end of the working week. Although you could always agree to the the saturday flex and claim it back right away.

If this wasnt the case staff could save up flexi time and buy off days at a time...RM are as dumb as you think.

Our Saturdays have stayed the same hours so it's an O/T grabbing day!

They have tweaked our Mon-Fri hours, my theory is they have tried to guess mail volumes for each day and I reckon it was some futile attempt at trying to cut down on O/T - but it's failed miserably this week and O/T is being booked even more than last week from what I can gather :left:
