Gordon, I'm Browned off

Dec 13 2008 Frankie Boyle

IN an amusing gaffe, Gordon Brown said he had "saved the world". Forget the world, he couldn't even save Woolworths. I guess it does give us an insight into his thoughts. Considering he helped get us in this mess in the first place, it's insulting to take any credit for minimising the damage. It's like setting light to a fireworks factory and then calling yourself a hero as you try to put it out with a carton of Um Bongo.

Postmen are being bullied by their bosses into walking faster. I'm worried it could affect the level of service they supply and they might not have time to throw my scrunched up mail into the bush next to my front door any more.

What the bosses should do is write on their postbags in huge letters "I'm a Paedophile". I guarantee they'll do that council estate round in record time.

Ryanair owner Michael O'Leary moaned when climate change protestors stranded his passengers for hours. That's his job.

Scientists have found that people who eat crisps, chips and chocolate have a gene linked to obesity. They are now able to identify the group of people with this gene, by looking at a map of Scotland.

Does anyone want to admit being Fankie Boyles postman :hmmmm of course it would be fitting to write 'I'm a Paedophile' on his door just to see how he likes that.

I went to the ansell adams exhibition in the summer and a cartoonist called frank boyle had a showing on the floor beneath, He works for the edinburgh evening news, not sure if its the same one but gladly I wrote,Frank you are an F-ing cock in the visitors book, from his friendly postman. This was on account of his comtinued cartoons taking the micheal out of postal workers over the years and in particular when the 30,000 lay offs were announced about 5 years back,he had a cartoon showing postmen getting sorted into drop bags named P45,dole queue and pub or some names along those lines.I still find it hard to believe a local paper could joke about people perhaps losing their jobs.

I will say this if russel brand or johnathan ross or even john gaunt come out with anything like that they would be sacked so why is not he?. It is far worse than any of the other people i have named here if i was a postman in Scotland i would press for his sacking and apology and deformation of our character in the public eye!. In Fact i would go as far to say send the bastard to rockall in the winter and let the penguin's have him for breakfast as no one else wants him!. put him near me i will burn the bastard!. sorry rant over.

Oh come on! The guy is telling a joke and that is all. I found it funny or do people find it offensive enough to complain, is that really how diversity trained we have become? I think this was in light of the ex-postie who left letters on his own street, and not about postal workers in general. Boyle is a funny man, and it is your right not to laugh, but if you think he should be silenced or forced to apologise then what the hell is the point in having free speech at all?

Have to say I dont find any jokes about comparing anyone to a peadophile amusing. A nieghbour of mine complained once about the kids of some cretins up the road who kept cutting through his garden, using it as a shortcut. The spiteful B's wrote the words 'child molester on his wall one night in big white letters. It was midday the next day before he noticed it and had it removed. the poor man was devastated worrying that all the nieghbourhood would be talking about him. All because he asked the father of some toerags to ask them to stop cutting through his garden. No-one should ever be called that unless they have been charged with offences against children.

She is such a caring woman ain't she:

I don't know if she is a caring woman or not - but I do think she's right - because I've seen at first hand too, the squalid conditions people live in and for that there is no excuse it is simply laziness, too lazy to clean the house, too lazy to clean themselves, too lazy to clean their children and too lazy to work.

More of how she said it rather than what she said. She comes across as a middle class woman looking down on the non-working classes.

Carole Malone is ex Mirror Group - now she's gone to work for " Uncle " Rupert Murdoch - all the papers have an army of this sort of columnist

In " Private Eye " they are satirized as "Glenda Slagg" - the columns tend to be a bit ? contradictory - all rabble rousing stuff

Those people are in the minority, it's just that we remember them better than the neat, clean people. And if we stop just looking at those people as a drain on the countries resources and instead look at them as an investment in the future  afterall the majority of these children will end up in work and paying taxes (and into pension funds) for years to come which means that we can retire someday.
