Holidays?

Can anyone explain why when I book a week off (6 days) it only counts as 5 days? Yet if I was to have seperate days off I'd only get the 5 single days?

Might be different to where you're at but we get a week off every 6th week off or 1 day each week, Monday, Then Tuesday the following week and so on... and not paid for the Saturday?

You work a 5 day week thats why holidays are worked out on 5 days. As you are on a 5 on 1 off you still work a 5 day week, you just get your days off in a 1 week block on the 6th week.

I wouldn't make too much fuss about it or RM could try taking 6 days off you per week off

im on a 5 week on 1 week off duty,they take 6 days for a weeks holiday,so i only get 3 weeks 5.5 days holidays after 11 year service (23.5 days)

Its not a "so i only get", thats all anyone with your service gets

According to my contract between 5 and 15 years service you are entitled to 4 weeks and 3.5 days based on a 5 day week 23.5 days - so it appears as though you are getting exactly the same leave as we are which seems fair. Actually with the extra non working weeks (paid by working the extra day admittedly) I would much prefer your system.
