newbie here.
has this system just been introduced recently by RM? 09:00-14:00 20hrs per week?

ive read a few posts and i do think that the full-time jobs will be a thing of the past at DO's

im on this at moment and basically shadowing an experienced postie until i do my round by myself.
from a new person coming in i reckon the jobs at DO will go part-time in the future. split shifts 6-9 and 9-2.

I worked at Allen Leighton's ASDA empire as a full timer and saw almost every full time job replaced with a part time (or 2) until it got to the point where I was the final full timer on my department.

RM will use natural turnover to replace full timers with part timers - it's happening already and in a few years part timers will out number full timers. RM will save even more money (less holiday pay/sick pay etc) and workers will battle it out with each other in a bid to try and get overtime in order to survive.

Welcome to the RM vision - sadly it is a vision that doesn't give a hoot about your quality of life. :no no
