Never done docket yesterday, big row going on about the B list for overtime, not on the list no overtime thats why they are in deep do-do. Yesterday me and another driver went over by half hour, we were asked if we would stay out until the last postie was ready to be taken back to office, we went to book and was told by the DOM we can't book, his words ' THE BUSINESS IS IN TROUBLE , WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY, IF WE DID'NT GET THAT LOAN OFF THE GOVERNMENT WE WOULD BE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS MFI AND WOOLWORTHS' we just walked away its not worth the argument :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
I take it he refused his bonus then? :cuppa

Another new walk yesterday, walk log hopelessly outdated and treacherously icy underfoot so i booked an hour and a half o/t.
Today we were asked to come in an hour early so i did and was met with NOWT prepped on my frame, every pigeonhole full, 2 totes full of post, 2 armfuls of flats and 2 sacks of packets, Lottery post for nearly every door too. Eventually delivered my 1st letter at 12:00 on another new walk after 2 very slow bus rides then after my 1st bag i had a nice 45 minute wait in the snow for the rest of my bags to be dropped off. Pouched off at 18:10, theyre going to s**t a brick when i book THAT o/t in, nearly 4 hours past my time. Now ive had my first food since 7:30 and a shower and a cuppa i almost dont feel like going postal. Tomorrow ive got a walk that is all banks and hills so ill break out the ski and crampons.

Caught up with a few jobs on Wednesday, my day off. Turned out this was a bad day in our office. Thursday was absolutely horrendous. Friday, got out half an hour earlier than yesterday but finished three quarters of an hour earlier. Seemed to be less mail, but loads of packets, and 10! recorded deliveries, had to pouch 5 off, and I know for a fact that one of them, the bloke was in, but didn't answer. :evil/mad

I was quite optimistic went I went into work this morning, I'm down to do packets over the xmas pressure, after 5 mins of being in I was pessimistic, I was told I would be doing a duty that I've never done before which consisted of loads of businesses and a few hundred flats :arrrghhh There are meant to be 6 of us covering packets, today there were a total of 0 covering the packets, good start as today is meant to be the busiest internet shopping day ever :nervous

So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Not the busiest day for letters, but heavy on the packets. Had constant rain ALL day and got home soaked.

Truly awful - the lift broke down so we had to chain it all up and down 2 floors.

My aching back.

A bit quieter than yesterday on the letters side. Less business postings. Packets a plenty. Wet early morning but dried out around noon and turned out to be a decent day weather wise.
