DOM wasnt bothered about our safety one bit. Shouted at us all to wear 'snow tracks' on our shoes then went and hid in office

Really mad day, we had a load of these silly postcode lottery letters to every house! We have packets everywhere as we got hammered today by far the worst day in a few years, and to top it off it was very very icy took me 5hrs to get around and I had to bring back a few items due to their driveways or steps being far too dangerous to venture down, and had to bring a full street back about 30 houses, I'm not risking a broken leg not a chance.
All in all a very crap day need to put my feet up now.

They are little gadgets you put on each shoe and are supposed to help you grip the pavement better in snow and icy conditions. We used to be issued them from uniform stores a few years back, not to sure if they still do them,i didnt have any but have seen the odd bod at our place with them on if it snows.smokerjim wrote:WTF are snow tracks?disgruntledpostie1 wrote:You have snow tracksRalph Wiggum wrote:Very dangerous, snow and severe ice.

Stop? Stop??? Sorry mate, dunno what RM you work for, but I don't have time to stop......especially as my DOM and lineos are always on at me to "hurry up, stop stalling, less time wasting" etc.

Well thats Christmas started in Dunfy, was on the IPS today from 0615 till 0840,got started on delivery at 1200
after getting in the van 45 minutes earlier
The van driver had to drop off another 4 posties and all their bags before me.,however i had told my line manager that I would be finishing on my time and had left a row and a bit, still went over by 15minutes but better safe than sorry, all in all a good day, looking forward to Christmas, without being knackered, sore and overworked.
The more you know, the worse it gets.

Only from what i seen but 1 part-time guy on an easy walk finished at 5.15pm..............................
but another I seen at 6 coming back from an easier walk
Big part of the problem would have been transport and one of the walks only has 1 box

Got back to the office at 3.15, LM was in a panic as loads of packets not done so I ended up taking out about 30, finished at 5.45.
Never done docket yesterday, big row going on about the B list for overtime, not on the list no overtime thats why they are in deep do-do. Yesterday me and another driver went over by half hour, we were asked if we would stay out until the last postie was ready to be taken back to office, we went to book and was told by the DOM we can't book, his words ' THE BUSINESS IS IN TROUBLE , WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY, IF WE DID'NT GET THAT LOAN OFF THE GOVERNMENT WE WOULD BE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS MFI AND WOOLWORTHS'
we just walked away its not worth the argument
