how do you get on with your DOM

Post by Sandyman »

Xmas is coming and the DOM's are desperate........

They don't seem to get the fact that crapping on your staff 11 months a year does not make the staff want to work their butts off for the 12th month. The opposite will apply. As I said in another thread, it's Karma - what goes around comes around.

itsonlyme wrote::Very Happy get on with my DOm great, he tries his best to make our office a distant place to work, pity some of the staff are stuck in the past, all you hear is, it use to be great here, we use to do this and that, in other words no work and got away with it, at least our DOM pulls the slackers back in line when they need it. These are hard times but at least we have jobs, look at all the people losing their jobs and struggling, everyone should pull together and help the DOM's to help make RM sucessful if they want to keep their jobs. Sick og hearing everyone moaning and blamiong the DOM's they need to take a good look at them selves and be honest about what the problems really are.
:nana And therein lies the problem--You will findthat in a large number of offices, the reverse is true----the
slackers get away with everything, while the good hard workers are penalised!!!
Most of the 'whingers, (Including me!) moan with just cause.

:nana In theory. in our office, no walk should be above 3/1/2 hours. In Practise, for a lot of us the walks,
on a bad day, have touched o 4/1/2 hours for some time.Over two years ago, I had my walk tested with
a member of Management,(On a very quiet Tuesday ) It worked out at 3/1/2 hours, and he didn't include the last 25 houses!
I remember, many years ago being singled out by the Unions for doing my walk "Too Quickly"-- now, of course. if you say to either Management or Unions about the Length of the walk. they suggest you are too slow!!
Canny win!

Fine, treat him with all the dignity and respect that I can muster, in fact the less I see of him the more I like him :wave

QOS :hmmmm I've only heard of them coming to my office once in the past year, usually it's just the paperwork they fill in themselves as for the budget :chuckle we're massively over :nana but I'm sure he'll still be getting his bonus because the FT count has reduced by 3 this year :nervous

They seem to have a grudge against our place, they are always around. Test letters; coming in the office and taking photos, they even have a fit if the traffic board is not up to date. Our boys must have really pissed them off.
