I work in a mail centre and while meter and ppi may of gone down a bit, the downstream access has gone through the roof this is processed on the night shift, and the staff struggle to dispatch it on time due to having less and less staff and more and more work.

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and Royal Mail Statistics

GEO ROUTE

Post by cruisey »

GEO ROUTE SHOULDN'T BE TOUCHED UNTIL THE PARAMETERS HAVE BEEN AGREED. UNLESS YOU WORK AT A TRIAL SITE. RM WANT AN AVERAGE WALK SPEED OF 4MPH WITH A 85% CALL RATE. WHAT A JOKE. JUST THINK OF THE SPEED YOU'LL WALK BETWEEN DROPS, IF YOU DO THE JOB RIGHT AND DON'T FLICK THROUGH YOUR BUNDLE WHILST WALKING. THE UNION WANT A SENSIBLE 2.7MPH WALK SPEED WITH A 95% CALL RATE FOR A DUTY.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Isn't one of the "ideas " proposed a system for collecting bin liners from the front of houses in Canada?, there's the little matter of the Belgian Posties going on strike over geo-route. Is the Belgian union one of these 70's dinosaurs or are thier concerns justified & valid.Typical!

I think there's a hidden agenda here to get rid of people :cfo either disciplining them for being too slow or maturer people who can't tear round like lunatics will either resign, go quietly , not give RM any problems or get medically retired. In thier place they'll get someone "more corporate" , non union ?
There's H&S & Age Discrimination issues. If RM bring in Starburst or similar, people will turn on "Poor old Fred who can't keep up", if he goes to the Union, Fred becomes the "grass" & the "coincidences"
Outside they've timed things @ a "efficent best value" manical pace for reasons, youv'e labour intensive industries & you can only make a profit if you cut.Nicholas Ridley got firms in like Service Team , Clarillion to replace loony left Council's workers & to break NUPE now Unison .Quote-"But it did stop the strikes"- These idiots in charge aren't that stupid.

Been on holiday, not seen a courier what did it say in full, would be nice to see. But we do complain that we are not on the same pay as posties as you are well aware.
