A little too much sugar B? I am not for one moment suggesting that his tenure has been successful far from it, everyone I speak to would readily admit that this is the worst our working conditions have been - that is however our take on proceedings, from a business point of view he has tried to modernise what is an old fashioned system of working, we don't like the changes and neither do our customers and in truth it doesn't look as though anyone knows in which direction we are going. Anyway I think he is very attractive  :chuckle
If you think he's attractive you need to go to specsavers. :nana As regards leighton, i was told many years ago that if you give a man a good boss the man will work well for him but give a man a bad boss and the man will work for himself.

I would suggest he is totally self centred and cannot believe he is wrong, but we must remember it was a Labour Government who brought him in to do the job he has done. There may well be those in power who now consider it wasn't the best move in the world and looking at the Post Office debacle they may well be right. Crozier on the other hand is not a captain of industry and has a track record of failure unlike Leighton who despite his attitude has been successful. There must be a certain amount of disquiet when you see how many senior managers have left in the last two years and Leighton himself is jumping ship in March.

I wonder how much of the change has actually been Leightons doing and how much has been planned by others and he has fronted it, because he has had little to do with hands on in Royal Mail he has been led to believe the donkeys planning the changes knew what they were doing.
The record will show that he did a good job, reduced the pension liabilities, increased quality of service, managed to keep the business going even with the introduction of DSA. Mark my words.

Some people may not like what he did here or at Asda, but look at how he is regarded in the business world for the Asda turnaround.

Knighthood in two years or I'll eat my hat.
Eh? Records wil show this guy destroyed the UKs postal service...Knighthood my arse.

You have summed it up "darth postie" for they do not care and are only interested in a quick buck and screwing all in the process of their need for greed!. When i was a lad the postoffice was a place of trust and faith only after the church and family, It now rank's with the bank's that's how far from grace we have fallen we our company in which we (supposedly hold a stake) are now ranked with banker's and estate agent's & polititian's :mfo and low grade dodgey buisness-men :cfo & :lfo!. I'm sorry can't watch the prat again. The only thing that half witted plank ever developed in his time on earth is his own self belief. Endless torrents of business-speak platitudes, meaningless power speak drivel. It's like having low level but incurable and never ending cholera. A well formed turd ,in the right place at the right time, and with the required amount of self promotion could/has achieved these heights.

RM Manager on You Tube :left:

Seriously that's where all this downright loopy corporate stuff comes from - :lfo had something at Asda - hug a balloon  or own a balloon - their managers have to sing the company song

with Sun microsystems , Texas , Sony - Ericsson , IBM , UNISYS , AT&T , KPMG - the employees have to sing them ! to nurture the work ethic .
RM have gone in for " inspirational meetings " , motivation sessions - then the old corporate standbys in " Team Building " - outward bound courses , firewalks etc - nice to see money well spent

Brilliant, but ,and I do hesitate to mention this, all the way through I kept getting this really strong recurring image of Allan Leighton and walk sequencing machines. Am I unusual Mrs. Mills? :mfo

I tried to watch Working Lunch on i-player but it gets to the part Leighton mentions something about the mail not being that late and then it stops working, either my internet connection is cr@p or my bullsh*t filter is working :hmmmm
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

The ISP Companies don't like BBC iPlayer at all - there's arguments over who has to provide/ pay for all that data to be downloaded - as for BS - this is the king of BS , not such moved the goalposts as relaid the pitch in a different town - endless egomania and self promotion - The Emperor's new clothes - RM is not ASDA - this is running a service not selling double glazing or used cars - hopelessly inexperienced and well out of his depth
