my day was bad enough as it was, up all night with my daughter on the last day of my holiday. Was just nodding off at 8 when my mobile rang, i cancelled the call, then the home phone rang. Both witheld numbers, the calling card of the managers at work. Also woke my daughter up so not at all happy.

:hmmmm I thought the every office had moved to a rotating 5 day week :hmmmm you must be getting much lower pay than the rest of us after all, we were only given the payrise at SDD for moving to it and that's not mentioning to Pay and Modernisation agreement :whistle .

Busy day Monday, loads of packets, had about 6 I couldn't get rid of. Got my first lot of A4 sized posting for the congestion charge vote, today. Hope it doesn't get passed. :cry

Packets are horrendous this week, yesterday I booked 2 hours to complete them. Today there were 2 yorks just for my van, when I told the manager he virtually accused me of booking and not clearing them yesterday :evil/mad I don't think managers ever look at the packets they just hover around the IPS all morning, they must live in cloud cuckoo land. MC had nearly 500 yorks in overnight no wonder today was cr@p.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Yesterday (Tuesday - the "easy day"). Started work 6am. IPS goes on forever because too many people p*ss about or have easy walks and don't give a F**k. Finished IPS about 10 am. Ready to leave office at mid-day (haven't taken break yet -except acoupla fag breaks in MY time -not IPS time). 2 bags of packets. Driver says he can't fit the bags in the few boxes I have. Tell Lino I cannot complete (finish time 2.30 but with meal relief at end can return to office 2pm). Told I have to take everything out anyway rather than leave work in the office. Why take out stuff that I'm gonna bring back? Instructed that is what I have to do.

Start my walk, eventually. Complaints (becoming normal) from customers about why the mail so late. Do about half my walk, take the mail from the boxes and retrrn to the office with a trolley even heavier than the one I took out (due to the volume of mail left in the boxes). And even that was 3pm!! Came back to closed office. Lino's ain't gonna work past their time.Shitloads of mail in my trolley, I'm tired and p-d off and just wanna go home (via the nearest pub - I bloody need it!). What am I supposed to do??? So I strore the trolley in the darkest place I can find. Luckily, this morning still there - all contents included. But this is not the way the job should be!!!

Cuts!! Cuts!! Cuts!! Don't try to tell me the volume has decreased. I'm p-d off looking at the smiling faces of happy posties in Courier syaing that "we all work together and our office is great". If the cameramen came to our office they would probably get chinned. More cuts planned next year. Are they having a laugh??

Easier today because I cleared most of the congestion charge ballot papers yesterday, but still heavy. Plenty of packets coming through now, and one or two xmas cards arriving early from overseas. Think some of the lads had it really bad today because of the congestion charge papers and the fact that there were loads throwing walks off. And we've got 9 out of about 90 gone sick. :left:
