All our Christmas lists for pressure period nights, extra driving duties, mail segregation etcetera went up this week. We are already getting heavier and later deliveries and packets are flooding in every day.
I have part culled or accepted walk support on my walk four times in the last two weeks for the first time since I joined RM 13 years ago and still earned the equivalent of an extra day in extended deliveries each week - we are now finding that flexibility means being stretched to the extreme because so much has been taken out of our business. Make sure you all realise where the breaking point is and don't be pushed that far.
