Haha all the LIGHT jokes have been going round the office..

2 in a bag... come on you can fit more than that...

anyways, all done now, i have seen the light at the end of the tunnel... boom boom

Hi, I work in Ipswich mlo IP2
We do not take any lightbulds out on dev`s.
All our lightbulds go out in a van as bulk & the driver get overtime.
Every`s one a winner.

bit far I know (I live in Stockport) but its better than delivering these F**cking Lightbulbs. :lfo :cfo

Don't worry about it. They have temporarily stopped sending the Lightbulbs in. It won't be for very long, but at least it will give everyone the chance to catch up. You should still recieve them unil Monday, or Tuesday at the latest. Because they are 3rd Class.

At last some good news! I've only been getting 2 or 3 a day, but it has been every single day for what seems like months. And what is it, why does every single energy company feel the need to copy British Gas and send out light bulbs, do us a favour, stop sending 'free' light bulbs and increasing my electric bill by 20% (gas by 30%) you're not fooling me, you greedy ba******!

It's all just a publicity stunt. Once one started sending them out, the rest started to follow suit. It's so that they can claim they are Green Companies.

You and I both know, that it's a counterproductive gesture, because of the extra fuel used by the recipients. Because, most of them are at Work when the Postie arrivbes with them. But few people think of including that into the equation. Still, they come in handy once you get them. I've been using them for years.

The one annoying thing about them, is that they are only the equivilent of a 40 Watt incandescent bulb. That could potentially put some people off using them, if they don't notice that on the box. Because they are totally useless in most rooms, as they aren't bright enough. I only use ones that small, in the bedroom (then I don't wake my Wife up, if I get up in the night), and Toilet Room (because it's so small). But they're better than nothing. Why couldn't they give out the 20 Watt encapsulated ones instead?
They would have been far more useful. And they can't cause reddening of the skin, if used too close to your body (less than 1 Metre) for prolonged periods.

Update on them lightbulbs, still got about 30 left (willful delay)

but been trying to juggle getting rid of them with the constant stream of the British gas ones. who's f**king "bright" idea was this contract coz I'd like to smash every one of em over there f**king head

Just got down to the last two by Saturday after delivering them with the heavy HBOS manuals all week and hey presto another warehouse full have arrived for next week.We also have the congestion charge voting forms (one per elector) for the greater Manchester area arriving from Monday so it will be another difficult week.

To all the ignorant and inconsiderate RM overlords out there who say "you are lucky to have a job" I would say " You are lucky to have a workforce that copes with what is constantly thrown at it"

Mail Volumes haven't fallen in line with our staffing levels - they have become more complex, varied and difficult to handle.
Lightbulbs that are being re-issued faster than they burn out are a waste of resources and manpower and are a freebie that isn't in the long term.

P.S. Has anyone seen any disposal facilities put in place yet for the ones that are finished with - probably only if you spend much much more than the cost of the bulbs and the power you saved to get there !!!

We used to have updates on the delivery figures, during the WTLL sessions. Surprisingly, we haven't had any updates since the Lightbulbs started arriving. I wonder why?

Surprsingly, we normally have them every week. At worst, we get one, once a fortnight. The hard part, is finding the useful information, that they hide within the boring drivell.
