G day fellow posties

Does any fellow comrades on here know the correct procedure for sorting tests ?

My few questions are-
How many letters to be sorted per 30/60 mins,

How many missorts are allowed,

Does any line manager supervise the test , and finally who marks the test :hmmmm

Bit out of date isn't it, 1974

In our DO we had sorting tests of a sort a while ago just to try and improve accuracy. All we did was sort a tray of letters into an empty frame and then someone would check them (not a manager because they wouldn't have a clue). tbh it was a total waste of time and most people's sorting is still crap :(

I think Daz means that the PT staff prep their own mail into their frames but do no IPS, which is why they only do 30 hours and not the 40 hours of the FT staff.

That is correct, 5 x 6 hour days deliveries slightly smaller than 3.5 hours and no IPS but prep our deliveries ourselves.

Im a 30 hour man and find that Tuesdays and Saturdays are easily mangeable within a 6 hour day thursdays are impossible Monday proably ok for 6 hours wednesday is my day off fridays might be alright for 6 hour day as well. Im on a delivery ive been doing on and off since 1991 in all its various forms. Now on it permantley having picked it up again under pegasus revision re pick. Having to get use to doing door to dustbins again as my previous floater always did the lot for me but as ive changed duty the floater covering my day off now, is not in to doing 100% of the door to dustbins in 1 day.

Just waiting for the DOM to clock on that longs and shorts would work on my duty :shhhhh
