Funeral..

Just got a phone call at work this morning telling me my mates Mum had passed away....I know its short notice but these things happen my predicament is i have about 5 spare days to take and i am struggling to get time off for the funeral .Only other option is to swap my day off any help on this matter would be appreciated because i ain't missing the funeral.

Speak to you line manager in the first instance,explain the circumstances,if no joy,try the union rep,if nowt happening,ask if you can cut off from delivery,then go to funeral then back on delivery,sounds a bit of a hassle to do this, but I've normally found that even if it's not a immediate family member,they will try and accomodate you,best of luck

Cheers for that Bro...but cutting off is not an option I'm afraid..Will speak to the line manager in the morning but i know the outcome through previous experiences...Not in the gang you get my drift..

Should be allowed to cut off in my opinion, Suppose it depends on time of funeral. I used to work to my time a lot and there's not a lot they can do about that. Best of luck.
