No because we all keep showing them the MANAGER'S a big fat juicy bonus every year!. WHY should a manager work when we all do it for them by screwing ourself's by doing the JOB WRONG AND SCREWING OURSELF'S IN THE PROCESS!.

the main of my office take their meal relief and work properly booking pressure or cutting off apart from a few idiots that still come in early to throw off mech, work through the meal relief if lots of mail in, and rush round if busy to get finished at normal times, help out the 25 hour people in their meal relief also, bigger fool them I say, they will learn eventually.

Our DOM told us they have to make a 5% saving every year. Surely if they keep doing that, eventually there will be no one left.

I had too leave one box of live work for tomorrow plus two boxes of mailsort for monday.They are out of order most of the work late from the mech and flats 8am.Out the office by 9.30am i made sure i got a break.All the flexibility should stop this time of year.The quick people rush around plus throw off there mail and another walk during ips time :lfo :cfo .

For they are but fool's unto themself's and they think they can show you and your fellow good worker's up all they end up doing is getting themself's sacked beacuse they do not follow the guideline's set for them and us all. If any manager question's my proformance i always question the commpetance of the individual who try's to make my job look easy!.

I can't for the life of me understand these people. We have them at our office just the same. The short cuts these guys take are breathtaking. To list a few :-
Running, speeding, no seatbelts, no van checks, failing to ensure mail security including doorstepping, grey binning, signing for stuff themselves, coming in early, no breaks, etc, etc......

These people can then complete duties that others cannot possibly do within their hours. What does the Management do? Instead of going to the guy that isn't doing the job properly, they go to the poor fella who is cutting off or going over when they do the duty. Surely management are then acting in league with individuals who aren't doing the job properly and so when the sh*t hits the fan, they should also be culpable. Will they be? No, they will just turn around quoting wtll sessions where they told us not to do all these short cuts.

Something stinks in this organisation now!

Why does everyone seem to think that this job SHOULD get harder? Its just about on the limit now. Come xmas there will be yorks and yorks of packets and flats not delivered. Forget the few who rush around they are not important. What is important is that this job is a nightmare now. We are paid OK but not the fortune we seem to think we are gettting. I agree that automation will make life easier but so what.... that was the agreement. We do the longer hours RM wanted in return for walk sequencing machinery. Why are you all saying that once that comes in we are f****d. It should be in now. We have been doing pahse 3 and absorbing walks for over 2 months now with not a jot of help from management or walk sequencing machines. As far as I am concerned we get in later because...... and I quote my DOM at the time............... "there would be nothing to do between 5-6am because the mail will be sorted anyway... " Ain t happened and I cant see it happening... wheres the 1.2 billion quid we were told would be invested? If this was a fair and level playing field I would tend to agree that we will be working later, but these machines ain t here and we are getting more and more work put on us. No one can walk and deliver for 6-7 hours thats ludicrous. But imagine. We go out and deliver todays mail for 3 hours at about 8.00am (As all the mail would be sorted if we had the machines in) then brought back to the office to prep tomorrows work. So you would come in the next day with just your mech to prep. We should not be thinking along the lines that this is all going to get harder, we should be looking at ways of making the job more comfortable and efficent. It should not be a struggle. For chrisakes I reckon if we went to Brussels or the court of human rights and explained our day to them they would probably stop us standing for 6-7 hours a day, carrying ludicrous amounts of mail around and make sure offices had decent conditions and even temperatures all year round. Vans that actually worked, bikes that were not 15 years old and just generally decent working conditions. Not shorter hours, but best use of the hours.

Thats my rant I am off to the pub..................

Completely agree - Tiger beer is the best bottled or canned beer anywhere but especially in the Far East.
