Here's a hint Adam...£177 million of them to be exact. Instead of taking a huge bonus and divvying the £177 million up between your board, why not re-invest it into the business? It's cash, it's accessible and it's there.
What happened to the £1.3 billion?

I own up to getting two copies, one as a "retired" person and one as a current employee - and the wisdom behind that, no idea but it fills my empty life 'cos I read it twice, mainly because by the time I get to the end of the first copy, (about a fortnight), I've forgotten what it was all about and so I read it again by which time the next two copies have arrived and before I know it, the next two copies have arrived and before I know ..........................what was I saying

Quote: "Colleagues from Burslem in Stoke-on-Trent explained how they had successfully improved performance after industrial action earlier this year"

What the rag failed to say is, the 'Colleagues' were two managers and a trainee. As for the 'Performance' it would be even better if six sacked experienced postmen were bak in the office. :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

No afraid I cant and replay what replay, as without a Manager for the terriers you will slaughter us especially as you are on a good run. Although Gerry Murphy does have a good record his 3 times in charge. I wont be rude and mention the score line from 1979 though :left:

The Courier is more evidence of the Stalinist Command & Control ethic which Royal Mail is now run on. The old Soviet Russia had Pravda and Izvestia lying to the masses. We have The Courier.

As the names of the main Communist newspaper and the main Soviet newspaper, Pravda and Izvestia, meant "the truth" and "the news" respectively. A popular Russian saying was "v Pravde net izvestiy, v Izvestiyakh net pravdy" (In the Truth there is no news, and in the News there is no truth).

V Courier net izvestiy, v Courier net pravdy.
