50/50 BONUS PAYMENT

I think this is the new templet for every delivery office shout, scream, blame everyone but yourself, lock yourself into your office and refuse to talk to anyone all day then send out letters and write things up on a notice board that we're not performing well enough and we're all useless

No nothing down here,our office is in such poor shape, way over budget so much so that they are taking more hours out which is costing more. They are paying untrained mail centre staff to do walks which is costing more because they are taking longer than the normal staff to do the walks,still as long as everyone is enjoying themselves.

That's just how it is in our office hey are we working in the same place,that's what the managers do all the time and if you ask a question or need an answer they get this rabbit in the head light look about them.

I was thinking more about the MC, with the managers hiding work in lorries surely they must have came in under budget

Modesty forbids me from mentioning how much I got as a bonus, suffice to say that with diligence, hard work, flexibility, going that extra mile, accepting change for change sake, park and loop, using PDAs, working overtime without pay, kissing arse and touching the forelock you too could have f*ck all as a bonus.

Have been told to expect around £229.00 this week. Did not receive our payslips in the mail today so no confirmation in print yet!

As I've said earlier in my 18 years i have never been part of a bonus scheme which i neither understand or benefited from in such a way that made think that bonuses were a good idea.

There's not been any mention of a bonus in our DO in the last few weeks and true to form one never arrived...


...likewise our DTD payments


Also I've heard that our DO supposedly needs to loose around 350 hours per week, so I'm guessing that could explain the lack of a bonus

We got s bonus, but I personally, think bonus's are a bad idea for us postmen, because you pay tax on it, it is NOT pensionable and I'd prefer a good wage rise, where everyone who works for the company gets a slice of the cake. But in my office, that seems a bad idea to most people, but then again 50% broke the strike, so say no more.

A third of my office came in during the strikes and we still get nothing but I can't help but wonder if the manager got his bonus (after all, from £41k last year to the whatever it is for a DOM in a small/medium office)
