I still don't know what he has done? It sounds quite sensational given the punishment for talking to two young girls, perhaps he tried to convince them that prostituion at their age was a bad idea.

Anyway, I'm sure the courts know what they are doing and have given an appropriate sentence, however without knowing any details except mass hysteria it isn't for us to comment on what we haven't got a clue about.

All right. Let's look at the facts here:
1) He admitted the "lewd and inappropriate" outburst in front of the youngsters, aged 10 and 11.
2) Sheriff David Bicket was told there was a high risk of Mannion reoffending.
3) Unlike the US propoganda: This is a case where someone admitted to his Crime. It was considered serious enough to get him on the Sex Offenders Register. But not serious enough to provide a deterrant, for him or any other paedophiles out there.

The US propoganda, was exactly that. Propoganda!
4) I don't advocate people being put in Jail for "thought crimes". That's abhorrant!
5) It's a FACT that paedophiles start off small, and then progress to actual attacks.
6) If he was simply discussing the news about Ross and Brand, or trying to talk them out of becoming Prostitutes (WTF are you on Spedley!?!?! ), he wouldn't have pleded Guilty. He would have explained what had happened, so that it would be documented, in the Court Records. And something like that, would have made it into the Press.
