As for our beloved pie enthusiast , he's being a bit naive saying Mandy should be sacked- McBean hasn't brought the " Prince of Darkness " in for nothing as someone quite rightly pointed out .

Whatever Mandy does with RM has to be in the constrains of offical policy, the timing of bringing Mandy in may suggest GB delibratley waited to place him untill after the RM issue for offical labour policy had been settled. It also could be GB wants PM to be concentrating on the big issues rather than trying to work out how to privatise RM.

Effectively GB has set PM a challenge to make RM a 100% publicly owned success story irerspective of PM's individual beliefs.

As a member of the governmnet he is bound by collective responsibity.

I imagine the cabinet will play a big part in determing the final government policy on RM after the review is completed, and they are by no means of the same view as Mandy!
I think it may be a done deal, I reckon Libour are just waiting for the right time and then they WILL privatise, no matter what anyone does or says :mad

They have no intention of privatizing the group as is, a political hot potato . It will be done piecemeal ,by stealth.
MC's and hubs will be slashed by 50% or more ,billions of public funding will go into new supercenters and automation, costs and costings will be apportioned strategically to paint a picture of financial failure and all the shiny new kit will be sold off for a pittance to a few well connected fat cats under the false guise of an urgent rescue deal. Oh yeah and on leaving public office those who did the deed will almost certainly pick up nice little non exec. directorships or big fat consultancy fees from the folks that never forget their chums.
Any news on when the new fleet of LDV's is due?

Think you'll find we might be considering spending £20,000,000 on Deripraska special LDV's but arc angel Mandy will not be involved/consulted, in the decision,he will have no influence whatsoever, he will express no preference,it will be absolutely nothing to to with him,he's not even sure if his time share partner owns the company,Russian Mafia, is that a form of conservatory furniture ? Partners dying in bizarre parachute accidents :hmmmm yep not many of those happen in your bathroom :chuckle
