got out at 10am, just finishing my 1st bundle of mail, had 2 knock with a packet, 2 little kids opened the door and let an angry border collie ryt out, it got a grip of my hand, but i managed 2 pull it free and put the bag inbetween us, the owner eventually came out and got the dog in, after loosing half a pint of blood on her driveway, i managed 2 get myself 2 minor injuries, 2 hours later returned 2 work all bandaged up with a weeks worth of anti-biotics only 2 be greeted by 2 managers who didnt ask me how i was just if i would be coming in2 work 2moro!.....royal mail a caring company???? well the they wont b seeing me until at least monday!

Good taste that man! Just been pissing about with this new 'create your own avatar' application so I guess it's working :D In fact I recently showed my impressed 19 yr old nephew (gifted guitarist) the duel for the first time AND finally found the pristine audio of the duel (from a Steve Vai collection) that wasnt on the official soundtrack. But I digress...

As we say down 'ere "****in loaded" today! Ridiculous amounts of mailsort flats just added to an abnormal amount of, well...crap really :Very Happy. One customer actually counted the flats that went straight into the recycle bin, eleven out of fifteen seperate items. Reassuring to know we're delivering to satisfied customers :chuckle .
Personally I'm thankful for my little rural van and the abilty to not carry all of it on my back, phew.
Just remember folks...mail volume is declining!

Kill off day I called it - all the magazines/catalogues I delivered on Wednesday and that were returned as addressee gone away. Along with all the same addressed to council houses that are boarded up or abondende - it took me 20 minutes to do kill offs today.

Also I had a woman from the council asking me where a certain address was. She did not know that the houses she was trying to find was in front of her and were in fact 1 up 1 down flats. She didn't half look sheepish when I said she was already outside the address. The thing that got me was that it was a council house
