No, but we are told we are overpaid, it just shows how much RM feel that we are overpaid by paying casuals 25% less for doing the same job. My point is that we can expect the same treatment, our wages will increase at such a low rate, while our terms and conditions continue to decline until there is no difference between casuals and RM employees.Tman wrote:Sounds like many other similar jobs, but do you expect them to offer more than other similar factory/processing jobs?pinstripe wrote:They don't make it sound appealing do they? £5.85 per hour, at their beck and call, you may have to work every Saturday (course you will!). Sounds familiar.

I always thought that if you are to employ people on an ad hoc basis you paid them more not less (self employed people are always paid more because there is no holiday or sick pay and it's easier to hire and fire).

Because of the way we've been treated, the staff in my DO aren't prepared to do any OT this year (there are the usual ones who will do anything for the money but they are in single figures now). I expect this year to be a complete disaster with cut offs galore and many casuals being brought in to try to finish the work (I'm sure it'll be even worse if the bring in Pegasus before Christmas).

It is no wonder they talk and try to think and lick each others arse's and generally f*ck up and don't have a bad word for their superior's!. Really they should pay our management more or am i missing something!. Maybe i was wrong and we can do with out arse lickers and failure's and yes men/women!. For if a manager does not turn up the job still get's done by the professional postmen/women of royalmail!. But if you employ monkey's you will need more manager's to tell/show/run the job for it is a cost to income and profit to have employee's who do not know how to do the job!. I can only guess why they :cfo & :lfo prefer to have more manager's is it for their EGO or is it just more FORNICATION.disgruntledpostie1 wrote:Managers againNWpostie wrote:Pay peanuts and you get Monkeys, comes to mindbaldrick wrote:The Agency casuals we get now, who are paid about £7 ph by the agencies (though they get paid £15 ph by RM) arek979aaa wrote:NO GUARANTEED HOURS?.
