A blogger called Scaryduck has posted an article which is a bit uncomplimentary about posties. Some of you might like to comment.

What a damn fool. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about! As for his comment about a suspicious-looking rip in the corner where some thieving scrote in the sorting office has had a sneaky peak to see if there's anything worth lifting." As far as I know, there are only a small proportion of letters which have a corner ripped off. And the rip's too small to see into the envelope anyway.

Duck here. Sorry if you've had a sense of humour failure, but that's the stuff I write.

I KNOW 99.99% of you are top workers (and the piece says this) - it's more a pointed look at the RM's shitty management and the corners they're willing to cut to turn a profit.

I'll do smug, s**t-eating journalists next week if it's any help.

It's all right. It's just we get so many people criticising us, that I'm a little sensitive about it.

By the way. If the envelopes with a corner ripped off, come via the North West. It's all due to one Postie, who does that to every envelope he handles. There's nothing sinister about it. He just can't help himself. He suffers from OCD.

Actually, having read it all I thought it was quite funny, but then my sense of humour is a bit skewed and certainly flawed.

It does however give us an insight into the current perception of posties that the Public have. With all these reports of light fingered posties, you would have though RM would try and regain the public's trust, yet all they do is trot out the same trite statement about "our people".

Very funny, not offensive at all - though I had to google OCD Andy - I think I may have one too, at least my eyesight is failing quite rapidly these days - still I can't say I wasn't warned - have you heard of portnoys complaint?

I shouldn't worry Albo, most on here won't be able to work out that 'most of their workforce' has to be more than 50% by definition.

No comparison - there you can win on 40% of the vote. Whoever ISN'T in wants proportional representation until THEY are in, then they say system is fair. Way it is and always will be.
