I went to work last week as normal only to find come thursday's pay slip that I'd be working 3 days for nothing. Thanks to my Line manager AND dom totally f*cking up my annual leave up early in the new finacial year apparrently I'd taken 3 days too much.
Normally this would have been fine and dandy, but for the fact that I'd rang up and changed one of my holidays to look after my daughter when she had chicken pox, both my line manager and DOM said this was fine after 2 hrs of going back n forth. I went into work the week that i was initailly meant to have off and was sent home due to them saying i was on holiday. although I told them i'd taken that holiday 2 weeks earlier they said that they had it down as a holiday so to go home but ring in tuesday to make sure. Which I did and was told the same thing that i was on holiday and they don't remember me taking the holiday off prior to this.
Come august time when I actually had holiday booked I just happened to go in n check that it was still booked and they said that i'd previously taken an extra holiday earlier in year and this one had been taken off to replace it. When I questioned this and pulled out my lastest annual leave print out they said that the only way i could keep my august holiday was to pull my january one forward. I wasn't in mood to argue so accepted.
Now when I put my notice in last monday it sparked up that I was in actual fact 3 days over on annual leave thanks to my manager not remembering my holiday switch and then without telling me cancelled my august leave to cover when he remembered what had happened.
Needless to say I went in Friday morning to have a word but they just told me there was nothing they could do even though it was their mess up. So i told them they either rectify it or i'd walk out there n then instead of working my final shift. Which ended in me starting work at 7am and I was home by 7.45am thanks to them refusing to rectify their mistake.
(hope this made sense)
