Looks like a new trend.
Some bloke came in for no pay last week just in case he got some docket doing cut offs. There werent any so he went home when everyone went out, but still threw a walk off while he was waiting.

What
We'd better make sure that RM don't catch on to this otherwise they'd have us coming in and waiting to see if there is any work

This goes on every week...saw a postie out at 7am on a saturday, in full uniform delivering extra d2d on his day off. Sad or ill?dubdaz wrote:I was out walking my dog years ago and caught my postman delivering his d2ds out of a satchel.Only thing was it was a Sunday

You won't catch me doing all these daft stuff
I value my work life balance too much, I want to relax and chill once I have done what is required for my work and no more.

In our office we work 5 weeks on 1 week off,
it's my week off next week, and as i'm short on funds i asked about the possibility of working it for overtime,
i was told theres a strong possibility as we have a lot off next week (our office is screwed when we have a full compliment of staff, lol)
i asked how many hours i would get, i was told to come in for the usual hours (6.00 - 14.00) but i would be paid for 7 hours a day
when i replied that was an hour short, i was told that was how it is when people work their week off
needless to say, i changed my mind and now intend to put my feet up for the week,
but of course we still have the regular mugs who accept it, they are literally throwing +/- £60 down the drain.
more fool them.

and i'd bet a pound to a penny that those people are some of the worst culprits for moaning about the current situation in RM,mrlovepantsuk wrote:i start at 5am and went in at 3am to do some paid ot, there were people coming in at 4 for a 6am start.
they are in our office anyway, they whinge about summer savings, being overloaded with work, the pay being crap etc etc, then come in half an hour to an hour early each day and don't take their breaks, effectivly giving RM 7 - 10 hours labour every week totally free.

We used to get 8 hours for days off then they went and changed it to 7 hours with no IPS. This wasn't really a problem when it first started but now the mail is getting heavier we are struggling with the sorting. So I agree the best thing to do is just tell them to shove it. Eventually they will have no choice but to pay the full hours.BettySwollocks wrote:In our office we work 5 weeks on 1 week off,
