in our DO we have gone through geo ages ago, but have heard rumours that they will put us through it again, seems strange but might be the fact the we keep claiming all this overtime!
management continually trot out the line that there is not a lot of mail today, might be so but if i have a letter for every house then it will still take me as long to deliver, might knock the time off the sorting but not the delivery, they seem to always ignore this point

has anyone else been geo routed twice?

might be that they have thought that they haven't cut enough hours!! which we all know that is what geo is all about
one of those things that i just cannot believe! at the time, no national agreement! so why? don't know if they have one now but?
the area rep was all, have been through a few now have no fear of them, well after they took s**t loads of hours out of the office glad he was so confident, will remember this when it comes to re-election cheers!

Every Branch in the cwu carried a propostion not to enter into a pegasus revision at a National conference !

Within a month a load of offices mainly in the north east thought it would assist them and it was like the sprat to catch the mackeral !!

After which everyone thought they where some how clever then the machine however Royal Mail had reduced the door to door rate ( not the call rate which made the percentage of call rate irelevant !! and has led to revison disasters such as watford etc.

A lot of you moan at CWU HQ but why have you broken national conference policy and agreed to Pegasus revisons ?
Because most of us have been given no guidence from anyone at H.Q. CWU , area level or branch level. No national agreement bring it on cause at the end of the day we are paid for 8 hrs so work 8 hrs. Anything more CUT OFF AND LET THEM PICK THE BONES OUT OF THAT!

I like that cartoon.

Our callers office (especially on a Saturday morning) seems to remind me of this poster (with amendments) put together by Saatchi & Saatchi for the Tories back in 1979.

What's your callers office like on a Saturday (or any day at this time of the year), any queues?

The dim management have taken so many hrs and walks out of our office they now deal in harassment and bullying on a daily basis but because staff wont do the O/T to finish walks they pick on them more its got so bad we all have decided that we need to look at the possibility of a rule 13 being bought up that's how well its all going in our place

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The most important rule in the book

Rule 13 Industrial Action

1. The NEC, Annual Conference, Special Conference or a properly convened Branch Meeting may in furtherance of the Union’s objectives decide to authorise, endorse, call or take industrial action, including strike action. All such action must be within the law and in accordance with, and in compliance of, all statutory obligations, inclusive of ballots etc. Where a Branch decides to take action to protect immediate local interests, the General Secretary and NEC must be informed.

2. For the avoidance of doubt it is confirmed that nothing contained in these Rules empowers a Branch or any other person, committee, group or body of persons to authorise, endorse, call or take industrial action without there being a statutory ballot and compliance in all other respects with the requirements of Part V of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 as amended or replaced from time to time.
