I use to always cut off, did'nt care what the managers said,they always made threats etc, I had to look after my young son same as alot of other people,what other job are you made to do overtime NONE.So it's simple if you can not complete in time & you don't want O/T,you CUTOFF end off.

We dont have geroute yet but I did earlier this year cut off several times because the temp twat DOM we had got back late every day from picking up the last del. He begged me to not cut off but as I am on tax credits (not a ponce but have paid in for 34 years and only taking whats on offer from the wonderul Gordo)
I told him whats the pont of doing OT if I have to give it back to the goverment next year? He still begged. I said NO get back early and I can fiinsh the round. He is history now so stand your ground.

we also have two posties who nebver get a break and never finish without doing OT. Finally RM has got the message and taken some off the round

As overtime is not compulsary, I am afraid that I can no longer continue to use overtime to compensate for the mistakes made by Geo Route. Therefore, I will only be doing the extra 30 minutes, required of my by paragraph 9.2 on my contract. After that, I will be cutting off.

I realise that this will cause problems or you. But I feel I have no other choice, as the situation is becoming untennable for me.

The 30 minutes is only supposed to be used in 'exceptional circumstances' and even then is voluntary and is also supposed to be repaid back to the individual later in the week although if maybe Friday or obviously Saturday then this would maybe be streched to the following week.

Basically unless the manger wants to risk a cut off on saturday then asking delivery postmen to flex on a friday is completely silly. Cant flex on saturdays unless your a sunday worker.

Never been used in my office as its only for totally unexpected unforseen circumstances such as a OMV break down from the mail centre to delivery office. Even then it migt not be nesscary as we would simply start throwing mail off in to delivery frame and unless we run out before van arrives then there is no need to flex.
