Dear Friends,
I recently moved to UK and I have got an Interview for christmas casual royal mail, next week. Please suggest me the dress code for the assessment day. I thought I should wear formal but many suggest smart office would do. I really am confused. And what can be expected at the assessment? Thanks in advance. Good day :)

About Christmas Casual
Wow you got here quick nallym - I was the one who referred you to this site on Yahoo Answers.
As suggested Smart office is OK, not sure what you mean by formal but this sort of outfit with either trousers or a skirt would be fine.
I wore a dark suit white shirt and plain tie when I went for the interview and got the job. Some at the same interview wore jeans and shirt but I never saw them again. One wore old trainers, ripped jeans and a shirt with a stain on it, although I don't think he was really looking for work, just making it look as though he was.

About Christmas Casual
The people who turn up for test/interviews at my MC wear all sorts - jeans/t-shirts/hoodies/saris/burkas/suits/African robes/etc -but I don't think it makes much difference as the people they employ as Xmas casuals turn up wearing these various types of dress as well.
