Hiya.What I'm looking for is the old navy blue Tank Top (as large as possible) and also one of the old style blazor jackets from mid 80's.I'm after these as I do talks to the kids at schools about life as a Postie, and after disscussions at work thought it would be interesting to show the kids the old style uniform, and the more modern uniform we wear.
Ive managed to get hold of 2 R.M ties and 1 old stlye flat cap.....

Try your locker room, and any yorks / skips / ALTs / rooms full of previously worn uniform.....might be worth asking your DOM if he can arrange for you to go scavaging other offices in your area ( if scavaging is permitted 
), finally, it might be worth typing Royal Mail into an eBay search and see what happens for the next few months ( lots of chaff, but occaisionally some gems....an old 80's style peak cap, complete with badge ), beware though, it if's not obsolete kit or has been sold on by RM Stores 
, RM will want to delete the listing ASAP ( so e-mail the seller and give him your e-mail address, tell him to cancel the listing himself & sell it privately to you! )

Thanks.Searched the office, but as we had new lockers (paid for by 1st line fix)all the old uniform that was dumped is gone, and our dom likes to try & keep office tidy.We have just had another skip delivered at work,full already with old bike parts,broken pods etc, and the odd household stuff that can't be arsed to take the tip.Will enquire with local offices tho, thanks for the idea.
