I think the phrase you need to use is 'unfortunately I will be unable to complete my delivery today because there is just too much  '

They're trying the same tactics in my office so I think I'll be doing the same :nana

They count the gaps and work out a call rate percentage on your delivery frame in our office if you wanna cut off !! Surely thats not the correct way or an agreed procedure ?

How would that work if you have flats with multiple occupancy. You might miss the 1st floor, but you're still going to the 2nd floor and the basement. (Well I always seem to).
It isn't the call rate, nor the walking speed, nor the amount of mail we are delivering, it's all of them. Why can't RM understand this?

Sure...some deliveries have houses that are a way apart with long drives and then some terraced housing in the same road . What about recorded and special items etc etc etc etc? Call rates mean nothing. Its just RM blanket reading situations for their own benefit. The management are under so much pressure they will do anything to cut costs.

the stupid thing is that as previously mentioned on this forum rm are under huge pressure and i think that the people who
do cut off will come under a load of threats from the headless chickens.

You might be right, but tell them if they think you're taking the piss to come out and test you, you can't be fairer than that, we need people to stand up for themselves.

We're having the same problem with lapsing, for some reason they assume we all have spare time, that needs filling in, and if I'm right it will be proved that there is more post coming trhu now than this time last year. We're delivering catalog's that I've not seen before, firms are sending out more advertising , to make up for a loss in sales.

We had this testing in our office. Let me tell you the guy who did the testing was so fat he couldn t get round with the postie. Yet he still said the walk was manageable!

He was brought in by the DOM. No idea who he was but testing involved prep. IPS and meal relief the lot. He spent a lot of time outside smoking and a lot of time inside breathing heavy.

we've had it in our office for a week cut offs everyday. now we hear managers are goint try and see if it's the delivery or a people problem wonedr how that will be decided. if they like you it's a delivery problem?

our rep and a postie devised the revision along with the pegasus guy and i heard him saying the above thing to. should reps side with management?

Look I dont intend to be blunt but why is anyone getting involved in PEGASUS ?

Every Branch in the cwu carried a propostion not to enter into a pegasus revision at a National conference !

Within a month a load of offices mainly in the north east thought it would assist them and it was like the sprat to catch the mackeral !!

After which everyone thought they where some how clever then the machine however Royal Mail had reduced the door to door rate ( not the call rate which made the percentage of call rate irelevant !! and has led to revison disasters such as watford etc.

A lot of you moan at CWU HQ but why have you broken national conference policy and agreed to Pegasus revisons ?

Thats interesting! Can you give us chapter and verse on that, cos my Rep is under the distinct impression that the 2007 agreement requires him to cooperate with a pegasus review.Speedy and authoratative replies please cos I'd like to tell the five man special projects team to go home early tomorrow .If accurate ,what a union shambles :Sick
