Ok I be serious too, why have you got 150 light bulbs, did they all arrive on the same day, I find it hard believe that you got 150 altogether, or have you been saving them under your frame
best way is to keep up to date and take them out daily, as for drivers taking them out, you having a laugh, they would never ever take light bulbs, I know it a pain, but you just have to put with them and get on with it, anyway if there are that many just cut off

Well my 300 were there when I got back from holiday and I was only away for 8 days - they could have come over the whole 7 working days but that still makes 50 a day and there is no way anyone doing a walking duty could clear 50 a day.kwf166 wrote:Ok I be serious too, why have you got 150 light bulbs, did they all arrive on the same day, I find it hard believe that you got 150 altogether, or have you been saving them under your framebest way is to keep up to date and take them out daily, as for drivers taking them out, you having a laugh, they would never ever take light bulbs, I know it a pain, but you just have to put with them and get on with it, anyway if there are that many just cut off

Don't get me wrong, I am not having a go at you guys for not taking out the light bulbs, but if you are on holiday, why are they leaving the light bulbs for you when you get back, that crazy, at least they should be taking out some of them, I thought all mail is suppose to go out on the dayTrueBlueTerrier wrote:Well my 300 were there when I got back from holiday and I was only away for 8 days - they could have come over the whole 7 working days but that still makes 50 a day and there is no way anyone doing a walking duty could clear 50 a day.kwf166 wrote:Ok I be serious too, why have you got 150 light bulbs, did they all arrive on the same day, I find it hard believe that you got 150 altogether, or have you been saving them under your framebest way is to keep up to date and take them out daily, as for drivers taking them out, you having a laugh, they would never ever take light bulbs, I know it a pain, but you just have to put with them and get on with it, anyway if there are that many just cut off
But than again, if you guys are getting 300 light bulbs a week, than surely something need to be done about it, managers need to come up with a solution.

Oh my god, 600 + in 2 days, now is that bad, I can understand where you coming from now mate, sorry if I was a bit understanding, I have to say the guys in my office should thank themselves lucky, the average number of calls on our walks is about 400 to 540, although there is one duty that has 600 and this guy has a assist, my mate work in another office from me, I think he covers over 750 and he doesn't get any assist, as for light bulbs, the most we get on a day, is around 8,probably around 30 a week or even less, I personally think when a postman is getting that large amount, it should be taken out of his hands, how on earth do royal mail expect postmen to deliver over 300 light bulbs a week, it absoluley crazy, why can't these firms who send out these light bulbs do it themselvesmoggymoz wrote:Mine came in over 2 days they are from a housing group,It looks like it will be for every house (600+)kwf166 wrote:Ok I be serious too, why have you got 150 light bulbs, did they all arrive on the same day, I find it hard believe that you got 150 altogether, or have you been saving them under your framebest way is to keep up to date and take them out daily, as for drivers taking them out, you having a laugh, they would never ever take light bulbs, I know it a pain, but you just have to put with them and get on with it, anyway if there are that many just cut off
I've not even started taking them out yet cos I'm still trying to clear the British gas, Scottish power and southern electric ones.

Bad news guys!
Sorry to have to tell you this everyone. But you will be getting a whole lot more of them, well into the New Year.
What I don't understand. Is why they haven't brought in enough Staff to deliver them. They are all 3rd Class, and therefore, must be delivered within a Week of being Posted. It takes 3 Days to get them out to the MCs, which leaves only 2 Days for you to deliver them. If not, they have failed. So why aren't the DOMs getting disciplined for failing to maintain acceptable performance figures?
They are Live Mail, and therefore should be given the same prioriy, as Letters.
I know that it's impossible for you to deliver them on time, as part of your normal Walks. But why the Hell don't they get some Agency in, to cover the excess?
We can't afford to let our Customers down like this. Particularly as we are supposed to be a Business now, and these are major Customers, we're dealing with. Although quite frankly, I don't give a s**t how big or small a Customer is. As far as I'm concerned: We're here to provide a Service to EVERYONE who needs it. Whether they send 1 Letter per year, or have a multi Million Pound Contract with us.
