What is ATOS?

On light duties at the moment and saw a memo today saying I am being refered to ATOS?

Ive already had an EHS interview over the phone and agreed a course of rehab.

Anyone help?

Royal Mail outsourced Occupational Health to this French Computer Company that are working their way into the Health Market over here - be careful they are given incentives by RM .

They have a website which wont give you much information but certainly gives you an idea where their priorities lie.

Is there a limit of an amount of rehab a person can have????? what if after your re-hab you are still not better, what is there next move??

Good question.

Im not even on rehab yet to be honest, cos im waiting for surgery on both legs, so its light duties for now then rehab after surgery. And the surgery will be on one leg at a time.

Ive got a feeling they will try and get rid of me.

That how a few in my office feel as well that they are on a hit list!! sometimes i felt mayb was just in our head but i really dont think it is.

make sure you see your dom so you can get a copy of any letters from them.this gives you an opportunity to see what they have put down particulary as consultations are over the phone.

atos i think from what i hear from aguy on rehab at my office will try and get you back to work at what ever costs, if you cant do your job after a rehab they look at finishing you

Royal Mail has extended its occupational health (OH) and welfare services contract with Atos Healthcare for another three years.
Atos Healthcare has been delivering OH services to the organisation's 185,000 employees since 2002, where it has helped to reduce absenteeism in the Royal Mail letters business.
The new contract incorporates a risk-reward model, with Atos Healthcare being incentivised to help Royal Mail further cut staff absence.Atos Healthcare will deliver a full range of services, including a round-the-clock employee assistance programme, sickness absence management, pre-employment screening, driver medicals, health screening, vaccinations service, and progammes to educate and inform staff about health-related issues.
Steve Boorman, director of corporate and social responsibility at Royal Mail, said: "The co-operative and collaborative way the two organisations have worked together to make improvements has been a particular success of the current contract.

How do they finish you?????????? just out of interest. Do they just sack you under the not able to do job???

Medical Retirement or ill health retirement would be the procedure.
