Ive bin a postie for a few years now and I used to njoy the job but the more I get to know my unit the more I realise Royal Mail really is a joke, I go in each day and do my job to the best of my ability and as correctly as is possible but whats really starting to get on my tits is some of the people in my unit who get away with doing jack all because they make a scene about everyting even though I know I can do the same wrk as them and others know they can do the same work in much less time than it takes these clowns who are making the rest of us work for their bonuses. What gets to me even more is that the manager knows this too and yet nothing happens to make the office workload equal. Why is it that those who can do their job properly and well are punished and those that cant are rewarded?

RM have been aware of command & ignore for years and have said some of our managers do not have the ability to move our teams forward , they'll have to be retrained or if that fails pay them up

There was a time when Managers were required to reapply for their own jobs and :lfo wanted appraisals -( problem is that RM tend to orchestrate strikes and :lfo needed managers onside ) but Unite had that stopped - to be fair that'd get rid of good ones as their faces didn't fit and they aren't a nice experience in any firm - could get very nasty with RM - it's also been embarrassing when RM managers at test offices were failing their own job interviews

It's like someone said about Prison - if you've been to public school or been in the forces it's easier to get used to but for others you might as well be on another planet - which RM offices usually are - this is the penal servitude bit that Hellmail don't get
