It seems that some might be rejoicing with George Osbourne's speech today (namely the Guardian!) http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008 ... ervatives1
However, his speech refers to a major cut in government advertising spend. Now for those of you who spend their day detailing where their postal bag comes from, might have seen over the last ten years a major ramp up0 in local government and central government expenditure on advertising and informing people about their departments. Under the Conservatives much of this will be slashed. I wonder what impact this will have on RM's coffers?
The alternative might be to vote labour (considering your subscription to the CWU partially goes to Labour), who do not infer a cut in government spending, but might increase (and I use this word strongly) council tax.
Anyone heard of a party called liberal democrats (I think?)
