Pegasus at Milton Keynes

Post by Fatcat »

Well it finally came in! Pegasus hit Milton Keynes, Denbigh DO, this week and within 2 days the office was starting to bulge with returned mail  The team that was put in charge of the planning did not ask the staff if the new walks were possible, and instead went by what the computer said? Result: total mayhem. With all the staff now going out on the vans, taking our meal reliefs, and cutting off when we should the mail is now being returned every day. Overtime is now being given out on our return to the office if we want it, and the price is OPEN DOCKET! Mind you most staff are saying NO, and simply saying we have walked for 3 and half hours, why would we want to walk more!
Oh! what happened to the good old days when the PO worked efficiently.

They are throwing loads of money at a programme that they think works fine and can't believe that it is failing because computer says yes!
There are a lot of variants it dosen't take into consideration and that's it's problem.
I have been out testing rounds and they are all failing surprisingly
But even sitting in with planners while they tweak and tweak gives me no faith in the programme.
There is nothing better than doing it manually!!
When they find it is not working they throw more money at it, where as one table-top revision involving staff would cost far less :so there :so there

the pegasus system said that Dunstable DO needed more walks.
Management said they'd do a table top revision to get their savings.
Need we say any more.

Pegasus comes to st albans on the 6th oct, only a few walks were tested and they all failed miserably!!
Managers are convinced that they have done a better job of it though :d'oh! , they put in ips frames for us to learn the new walks on but they had to knock that on the head when it was pointed out to them that there was roads missing etc :d'oh! ,
im just going to sit back and watch it all go tits up around me :cuppa :left:

We checked on a few addresses with the council who said these addresses didnt exist or they didnt in their data base or something like that so we possibly won't be delivering to them.

i tell you, you couldn't make it up if you tried.
