Yep, sure could. You could mention Ariel Sharon, BB King, Ben E King, Marlon King, Postman Pat, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Pink Floyd too, but why bother?
After all, there's only so much unrelated and pure nonsense this board will take... :wave
Thank you for your considered input tman , sort of sums you up :chuckle same old same old ,wouldn't want to shake anyones opinions would we :left: :left:

Hmm, listing some unconnected political struggles in Latin America hardly continues the thread or debate, which was more about the claims of left Wing progress in that unhappy continent than a list of political conflicts.
I may not agree with some of his points, but the connection was ill thought out US intervention, what some call Imperialism. Though I don't agree with the term "US Imperialism" I would not demean or dismiss someone else's political views as pure nonsense I would try to argue my position with constructive arguments and references and enjoy the debate that ensued. However, people are different and if you see such methods as acceptable there will be nothing I can do to try and change you, its a shame as IMO along with other posters on all sides, good points and well thought out arguments are sometimes ruined by styles of posting.

I can only apologise for missing one or more posts then. I thought it went from me being cynical about Left Wingers in Latin America to a list of recent latin American conflicts. I must have missed the ones connecting this to the ones about US intervention and/or US intentions in this continent.
BTW if you care to reread, it wasn't political views I dismissed as nonsense, but posts. There's more to a constructive argument than some oblique sentence too..... :left:

Possibly, but then "good points etc etc" can be ruined by quite a few posters, so step in earlier if you feel the need.

Now don't be like that Belie. It was a post (punctuation apart) good enough to have come from yourself. They do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all... :confused

So because his were related and yours, imo, were not it kind of ruins the last point in your post.
Depends how deep you wish to look into individual posts. Belli's list was hardly debate or informative, but at least my list was obviously nonsensical..
just re-read the thread and along with your list , most of your posts are nonsensical too.

Banners is about the measure of them.
The Wolfies are always good at exhorting "the workers" to act, but not much good at anything else, and that includes moral or financial support, passing the hat around, or even getting out of bed when it's cold, dark or early. They seem to exist now purely to write drab nonsensical articles about the state-run organisations like RM, NHS, etc, although presumably they would get even more ridicule were they to spout out thier out-moded philosophy on some private concern.
Funny how the irony of going on about "parasites" always passes them by.
this being the 8th post in , pretty well helped turn the thread into a slanging match.

Depends how sensitive you are to differing opinion. If the perception of SWs isn't right, then maybe that needs to be addressed. Mind you, not sure Brown could turn around the perception most seem to have of him.

i do not have a problem with different opinions, just in the manner in which they are presented .

Bless, with such closed minds and a thread that has drifted so far off track, one wonders how any of it relates to a post about opposing changes at RM, would someone please turn off the light on the way out.

I don't think so, and it's a shame you replied in the style of certain others as it doesn't improve the board or debate, but is just the easy way out as practised by school kids who know no better.
You may disagree with my jaundiced and cynical views of the latest claimed events in Latin America, but that doesn't make those views nonsense unless you could "show" otherwise, but the track record of the various governments (loosely termed) in that area speaks for itself, and in ain't good..

Maybe tman can back up his sweeping generalizations? "Show" us what is going on in,lets say, Bolivia. Be quite interesting to see you back up your views.Think of it as a challenge.
