I suppose it come down to what you get used to,like personal habit, everyone is different, I am not sure about doing 20% d2d in 15 mins, I can't see myself doing that in 15 mins, can I ask how long you been at royal mail,do you think it helps, if you been there longer, I only been there for 5 months, I also notice that most offices seems to have different rules, my mate work at another, and they too do things different from my office, and reading people opinions, I can believe how it varies on here, at the end of the day, you going to copy what the rest of the guys do in your own office,especially from the ones that have been there for over 20 years, we also put all the leaflets all together, so that how i would prepare it at home, of cause if you have to delivered them separately, than I agree there would be no point in doing it at home, as for royal mail getting a hour out of me for free, that may be the case, but I am at home, doing other things for my own personal business, whilst I am doing my d2d, so you may see royal mail getting a hour free, but could also see my own personal business is getting a extra hour. anyway thanks for the d2d advice again.but I am really not bother about this. just interesting in doing the walks quickerdubdaz wrote:Cannot for the life of me understand why you dont prep the 20% your supposed to in your prep time before you go out.I've got around 600 calls and get 3 lots a week but it only takes 15 mins a day to prep.You should then be leaving the office 15 mins a day later than your doing now,but getting paid for it if you decide to stay out and do them.
On the monday or tuesday when its generally lighter deliver the d2ds at the very end of your walk,that way wed,thurs & fri you do the rest at the beginning and middle of the delivery but can still cut off the end of the walk if you want to without effecting the d2ds.
Doing it your way your giving RM an hour a week unpaid when you could be just adding it to your ot payments
