Ours was about filling in paper work if there is a possibility of you nearly having an accident
WTF is that all about! I'd be filling them out every day, eg went out on deliveries and it was storming, I could've been nearly struck by lightning, I crossed the road and I could've been nearly hit by a vehicle. Are they trying to keep someone in work?

That should be the responsibility of management because lets face it they do sweet fa during the day.
And they don't give us any time to fill all the forms in.

A miss is as good as a mile/kilometer. This stems from the idea that you have to be frightened of everything. What do they teach them. If news is correct we are running out of managers so will have to set up team working to cover the gaps.

i think it most probably has to do with risk assessment, whether this makes the postperson liable if there is an accident having previously writing it down, who knows.

Are these the "near miss forms"?k66yla wrote:Ours was about filling in paper work if there is a possibility of you nearly having an accidentWTF is that all about! If so, we've had them for a couple of years in our RDC. The Managers primarily use them as a means to report accidents, where you don't suffer an injury (yes, they consider it a near miss!
They want a paper trail, so things don't get "swept under the carpet". Only time will tell, what difference this makes.
Have they started using the "why, why, why" forms for accidents?
They recently introduced them for us. They CLAIM that they are to improve accident investigations. But considering the layout of the form it appears to be a means to divert the blame from RM. Unfortunately, I don't have an example of the form. But hopefully, someone else will be able to provide one.
