I don't mean in any major way, though there are a lot of serious subjects covered on here and I'm sure many people have had a lot of support, but silly little things? I have an example:-

I delivered to a house with a home made box screwed to the outside wall, it has a hinged lid that lifts up. The man was outside today seemingly waiting for me (?) he had a right old moan and said that yesterday when I delivered I let the lid drop down causing he and his wife to jump  I apologised.

He then said in a very cross and patronsing tone "Don't just let it drop, put it down quietly, I used to be a postman so I know you can do it" to which I cheerily replied "yes I can, and next time I will, have a nice day"

Having been moaned at and spoken to as if I were five I merilly went on my way (the sunshine helped!), the thing is that usually that would have me cursing under my breath and feeling a bit foolish but the thought of telling you guys and maybe getting a friendly reply made me really not give two hoots and I actually chuckled to myself about it.

One day al posties are all gonna have guns for protection. They say you will have to shout a warning before shooting in defense. I am gonna whisper!

Next tim he has a parcel, knock quietly and make the fanny batter go pick it up. I had the same thing form a woman who had a green bin that all posties put her packets in to do her a flavour. One Sat she moaned at me for slamming her box as I rammed it in (oh er matron) like I was five years old and now she gets a 739 every time. They dont like it uppem Mr manwearing! :left:

She may have been worried about something TBH, my parents are quite aged by now both in their early 70s and sometimes when I visit their heating is on during a hot day and off on a cold day.

Body Temperature Regulation

The body primarily cools through perspiration. As moisture on the skin evaporates, the body cools. Core temperature remains stable as long as fluid and salt are replenished. But if dehydration occurs, the body tries to conserve fluid loss by ceasing sweating.

"In order to perspire we have to have fluid on board," Dr. Wetle explains. "[But] older people begin to lose their sense of thirst. By the time an older person is feeling thirsty, he is already quite dehydrated."

"Another contributing factor [for temperature-related disorders] in many older people is a change in the sensation of temperature," Dr. Wetle says. "This may be due to changes in the skin, a thinner layer of fat just below the surface of the skin, or to changes in the actual sensation of heat or cold."

In cold temperatures, the body attempts to keep warm by shivering. Thyroid conditions, circulatory ailments, strokes, dementia, decreased mobility, medications and alcohol all impede an older person's ability to keep warm.
So as you say a weird question but certainly understandable.
