It could be a scene from the kids' classic TV show when postie Terry Grinter, 46, goes out on his round.

Because Beezley the cat insists on riding in the basket on his bike.

Terry said yesterday: "People have said, 'Don't tell me, he's called Jess,' because of Postman Pat's cat - and I have to explain that he's not even mine. I'm a cat-lover so I always used to stroke him. The first time I lifted him into my basket I expected him to jump straight out. But he's quite happy to stay there.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
