Spider season

Post by Timelord »

I hate this time of year, when every path you walk down seems to have a web across it and we're forever wiping our faces!

I had a fairly overgrown path today with a web across it and a whacking great spider in the middle, luckily I just saw it in time :nervous

People must think I'm some sort of nutter coz I've started going down the path waving my bundle of mail in front of me

Haha. I do that too. I just pretend that I'm fanning my face because it's really hot.
Fecking spiders, I hate them.

But everywhere would be swarming with flies without them.

Actually has anyone noticed that there does seem to be more midges and fruit flies around at the moment.

True, but I can still hate them for making webs, face height, everywhere.

But that's only because of a drop in the spider population due to postmen breaking their webs.

I walked into a massive spiders web the other day, it was covered in flies, stuck to my arm and all over the front of my shirt. I was brave I did'nt scream, but now every time I walk up a pathway the customers must think I'm mad as I'm flapping my arms about.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Ooh! I'm glad that someone has brought this post up! They get right on your nerves! I know it sounds mean, but I just wish I could exterminate the whole lot of the little blighters! I've started 'waving' too: great minds think alike! It's like they're sticking eight spidery fingers up at us posties every day! Wonder if they have their own spiders' union? They seem very militant...

I hope so we could class the web as a picket line and refuse to cross it as a mark of solidarity. :left:

They're only an nuisance really, not a health and safety issue as if the webs were big and strong enough to entrap us only to be devoured by massive spiders, a torn poch, few scattered letters and bits of torn uniform being all that would be found on the path a few hours after we had failed to return to the delivery office !
