GA's

I call them, "Gnat's a**ses" - or GA's, for short:

...hello? We're living in the 21st century - it's not Victorian England anymore: people send flats and all sorts of other large items in the post!

And while we're at it, on one walk, they had the GA right at the bottom of the door AND it had a large letter box flap placed over it, to give the impression that it was a larger letterbox aperture than it actually was. WHAT IT THE POINT IN PUTTING A LARGE LETTER BOX FLAP OVER A TINY HOLE? I always had to screw the mail up to get it through the hole. I always had to bend down, and at that point on the walk, my bag was always heaviest!

Flaps

What is the point of those stupid flaps fixed behind the letterbox that catch any mail you try to push through? It's like they are saying, "We have a letterbox - BUT WE DON'T WANT ANY MAIL!".

Postie! Hello? Hello? Are you there? Did you knock at the door? Do you have a packet for me??!??! Helllllloooooooooo????!!!"....... :wave how annoying is that? :arrrghhh I swear they do it on purpose... .....of course you could just ignore them and pretend you didn't hear them.... :whistle :chuckle
Yes: you can bet that one way to get them to come to the door it to start (or complete!) writing-out a red card: always works! You spend half-an-hour, knocking on the door, writing one out (attaching the little recorded sticker, if necessary), signing-off the item and then... just as you walk away... they come to the door!

I've started pacifying myself by saying to them, "Oh great! You're in! I'm glad you you're in, because it means that you won't have to go to the delivery office to collect it!"

The other one complained because of all the mail when he came home saying his house could have been burgled due to my stupidity in continuing to deliver the mail when it should have been obvious no one was at home.
Yeah - it's like those little kids that ride around the street on a bike and say to you, "No one lives there", as you attempt a delivery: I either blank them or say, "I deliver to addresses - not people". Obviously, there is more in the house than in the child's head.

Lots of things

1) The most annoying is postie, why is the post so late, god if I got a pound for each time someone ask me that I be rich by now, customers, you need to realise that the days of getting post early are sadly over, life has change, blame all these leaflets, junk mail, thousands of packets, light bulbs, council stuff, postie don't even get out till after 10/11am so forget about getting your post around 8am

2) Annoying long paths, to get to next house, cars blocking your way to the door, letters boxes right at the bottom of the door.

3) People calling you from the other side of the road, asking for directions, I am busy, sorry I haven't got time to stop and chat.

4)Customers who don't say thank you when handing over a parcel, people in the streets, who just give you a odd look, for no reason, probably can't understand why you are still delivering post around 3pm

5) Customers, who think they are the only ones expecting post, forget the other 600 than, who are also waiting for there post, you just jump the queue and delay the postman ever more.

6) Cusomers who ask are you new? no I am not just new to your area.

Handed mail over to a customer the other day, he said 'I don't want them if they are bill's', I said 'Bill has already had his mail', he gave me a blank look, that one obviously went straight over his head
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
