Are Atos there to really help us then??? Or do they help R M rid full-time staff?

not sure if i want to speak to my rep or just go it alone dont really know him and if he will be able to do a decent job defending me if atos can do this what can a rep do royal mail dont seem to worried about grievances only seems to put managers up the promotion ladder when they have one put against them

I refused to deal with ATOS when I had depression, the c***s kept sending me letters etc, I was on the verge of suicide....death to them all.

We did have the health bus come to Stoke a while ago but the appointments were in the afternoon! So much for looking after the night shift. There was another visit later I believe which did see some people on nights but not sure on that one.

I do not rate OHS very highly I'm afraid, but very often, you have to play RM at their game. If you refuse to see the OHS, I believe they can use this against you however, do remember that you do not have to allow them to divulge any of your details to RM.

As for telephone interviews, they suck! How can they tell if you are fit for work from a few questions! It is just a cheap way of ticking the boxes.

Can a telephone interview with atos over ride a gps sick note?

I'm waiting on another telephone consultation with A TOSS, the last consultation I had they had no information why I was ill, the LM had told her I was slightly anaemic they did'nt tell her I was rushed in to hospital for a blood transfusion, so I guess they can only go on what the managers say. A few weeks ago I had to go and see the ATOS Dr, not because I was still ill it was because I had triggered a Stage 3.

these two sentences are taken from personneltoday.com regarding atos contract renewal and pretty much say it all.
regarding telephone interviews why not try asking the atos employee if (in the interests of security) they can confirm their postcode to you, also their date of birth and the password.
I gave this advise to a bloke on nights who said he seriously nearly piss*d himself laughing when the woman from atos said they didnt know the password and he said "i'm sorry but you are not authorised for this information then" she said she was and he asked for the password and she started saying the first thing that came into her head. After 3 go's he said "sorry i cannot allow you to continue, is there anything else i can help you with" she said no and he said ok goodbye then.
Now that was a day worth going into work just to hear that.
