Manager sacked - Rumour

I heard today that the manager over here has been sacked but there seems to be a difference as to why (some say it was over traffic figures and some say that it was because he wouldn't follow RM management orders).

Perhaps it was both, maybe he did'nt falsify enough

If he was falsifying the figures, they won't just sack him. We had a case some time ago, where one of our Managers was fidling the figures. He didn't just get the sack, they prosecuted him too.

The rumour in our office today was "2 Edinburgh managers have been suspended for falsifying the savings figures for their office, thus denying the postmen a share of the 50/50 savings".

As i say, this is just rumour and i can't back it up with any evidence.

"Old More's Almanack" has a prediction for this Xmas. It says we are not going to cope. Perhaps this is the start of it. If you believe that sort of thing.

I totally agree with you, I would never go on 'the dark side', lots of stress what for? When it is time to go home, I am gone, whereas a manager probably has to stay on a bit longer to make sure all the work is cleared. I want a easy stress-free life.

.......In Crozier's very murky past, wasn't he shown the door of some broadsheet or other, for, errmm, falsyfying figures, allegedly?

Perhaps, this manager wasn't up to Crozier's standards of dishonesty.

Maybe that's why he said that a third of his managers weren't up to the job.
