1PM guaranteed specials

Picked up 4 today, two failed..2.30 and 3.30. It's a disgrace that RM have a guaranteed 1PM service, and in my office, it's a joke. Didn't deliver my first letter till 12.00

You should get an answer and hopefully your dom might get some advice too

why don't they just change the name to next day without a time, after all with us moving closer and closer to a 9 to 5 its gonna be come impossible to maintain 1pm.

i bet the rle bloke just scans them as delivered at 11.40 ish then next day when they get the confimation cards back just rescan as slipped left

It even difficult for me, I don't start till 8am, yet have to throw of the whole walk, got out after 11:30 am, on my duty around 11:45, I ask the specials guy, how many I have, and it was lucky that it was right at the beginning of my walk, if it was to be one of my last drops, I would stressed to them I will not be able to delivered the specials on time, I also have a trolley, so I can hardly just go to b and back just like that, god help us when it Christmas time, I can us getting out after 1pm, how will they sort the specials out?

9am specials in our office go to drivers. Pretty effective, they don`t fail.

1pm specials are a different case. We usually have 2 or 3 left at 11am that posties can`t do in time, or are too large. Managers usually take these, or the PHG.

Maybe it`s just me, but on the first day of the later starts last year, i figured that the 9am and 1pm times would maybe be moved to 10am and 2pm, but, I suppose that would make far too much sense. Personally, I dont count a 1pm special delivered at 1330 a failure, not when I can be out on the streets until 1415.

My office fails on 1pm specials on a regular basis, personally i fail around 5 a week, managers are not bothered so why should we!

Don't worry about them, its not a postman/woman concern.

Even better ,call it the' sometime soon service' That should cover most planned changes in the delivery spec. I hope
