I am back on RMC after a long time away.
You'll be pleased to know the manager/job etc have all got worse. :lfo :cfo And I am floating for 5 brutal walks P/W.
Anyway, does anyone know if Postmen will be getting the September weekend off?
Also what are the dates of the September weekend?
Cheers...

Glasgow September Weekend.
I think it's just Glasgow.
Friday 26th to Monday 29th, apparently
Anyway an old postie told me a couple of weeks ago that we (Glasgow Posties) are getting it off.
Doubt it.
But still hoping/praying/wishing..

Is it some kind of bank holiday or just a local agreement with time owed back to ROYALMAIL at a later date?.MartinMail wrote:I think it's just Glasgow.

It's a bank holiday.
All schools, most works etc.
Just hoping I've got it off.

I got the option of taking the august holiday or this one. well i say I got the option, half the office got a vote the other half never due to being on their break, day off or likewise. I was informed on the thursday by a postman in another town that my office was off the following Monday. When I asked my boss he said that 9 people got the vote so that was enough as anyone on long weekend in september wasnt getting to vote, neither were people on holiday.
I am a postman and I kept the faith and I kept voting, not for new labour but for the working man.
