Not enough -last year I earned roughly £25 per week over 44 weeks on D2Ds - This amounts to £1056 a year. The current offer being spoken about is roughly £2,000 - so after 2 years you will doing for free. Sorry not worth it the offer would have to be £5,0000 minimum for me even to think about it.
They can increase the amount if they want, as long as they increase the unit payment or make it easier to prep but to stop paying us even with a sweetener is a non starter for me.

Got 600 calls on my walk and never complete where others have 300 and finish a couple of hours before me,its a fair system now,the more calls you have the longer it takes so the more money you earn. How can our union even contemplate a one off payment when its not a level playing field?
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

Cheer up mate because under pay and mod these guys finishing early might just find themselves doing extra work under phase 3dubdaz wrote:Got 600 calls on my walk and never complete where others have 300 and finish a couple of hours before me,its a fair system now,the more calls you have the longer it takes so the more money you earn. How can our union even contemplate a one off payment when its not a level playing field?

It never will be a level playing field. Is delivering D2Ds to 600 flats really twice as difficult and worth twice as much as delivering them to 300 farmhouses and cottages ?dubdaz wrote:Got 600 calls on my walk and never complete where others have 300 and finish a couple of hours before me,its a fair system now,the more calls you have the longer it takes so the more money you earn. How can our union even contemplate a one off payment when its not a level playing field?

Apparently yes - the payment we were told this week is for prep only - not delivery - so to prep 600 is twice as difficult and therefore worth twice as much - but only if you believe my manager of course.Lounge Lizard wrote:It never will be a level playing field. Well, if it's payment for prep only, they're preped in normal working hours and we're all working to our full hours now, then is it logical for someone preping 600 to be paid double the D2D payment of someone preping 300, especially as preping the remaining 300 is hardly more difficult or arduous than the sorting or whatever someone who's finished their 300 is doing ?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Apparently yes - the payment we were told this week is for prep only - not delivery - so to prep 600 is twice as difficult and therefore worth twice as much - but only if you believe my manager of course.Lounge Lizard wrote:It never will be a level playing field. Doesn't seem to be the case where i'm at. Everyone is on the list for taking out extra bits of walks to be covered, and from what we hear from the managers you cannot leave it even if it will take you overtime. Instead you just end up cutting off a bit of your own walk. Seems rather pointless to meCheer up mate because under pay and mod these guys finishing early might just find themselves doing extra work under phase 3where as you wont
