I would like some advice on a meeting I had with an ATOS councillor which ended with her telling me that I should reconsider working for RM.

Should I put in a ccomplaint?

I ve heard that said to many of colleagues of mine .Its generally said to people with long term health problems ie back injury etc.
Its not much help to say Royal Mail pay minium fee of £500 per referal to ATOS.

My experience with ATOS (5 sessions) was a total waste of time. My advise is forget ATOS an seek proper help either through NHS or pay private.
To my knowledge ATOS can not medically retire you without a Doctors sign off so I won't worry about thier lack of judgement.

They wanted you to agree, as they have a box on there sheet with the question "Is this employee a candidate for ill health retirement".

If you had of agreed or said yes they may of ticked that box! Happend to me as well, they wanted me to agree to something and i argued big!

Just take a witness in everytime you see them. Firstly they dont expect that, so it puts them a little on edge and they are very careful how they deal with you. Then ask if they are medically qualified to asses your specific problem. All these thing will un-nerve the Attoser. And then if you have x-rays, scans or any medical evidence showing whats wrong with you ask them to look at it. I will guarentee they will refuse, so be most insistant to show them your evidence. They are just unqulified hacks used as bully boys to get you back to work .

RM used to have their own people , I'm not an expert but I doubt if they were on £500 per week let alone £500 a time :lfo :cfo :d'oh! - outsourcing non- core functions eh ?

I got sent to the RM MO , I didn't play the " my life's a mess and it's all RM's fault " - wearing worn down trainers and carrying a heavy rucksack of shopping on one shoulder aggravated it , overweight bags and alts didn't help either .

I got sent to the same physio the Championship Football Team uses as a result - RM paid her invoices .

There's a couple of agendas such as the corporate practice of the extended arm if blame is being apportioned - it's also interesting to see who gets cited in Industrial Tribunals . I believe most of them are ex army doctors .
MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.
