POUCHING OFF

Post by silverback »

I work on delivery at a rural office of approx 20 walks, 5 vans. We deliver to several small villages. The problem
we are now facing is that RM are closing a large majority of rural Post Offices. These are all used to pouch off at. The next nearest PO is often miles away. Anyone else experiencing this? If so, what resolutions you come up with?

It hasnt happened in our area either but I can only assume that you cut off so that you can get back to your do to pouch off there. The only other option would be for a van driver to arrange to collect from you. Good luck

If you have pouch boxes or drop points (whatever you call them there) leave any undelivered items in there
and let the driver collect the next day. Just make sure your line manager is aware of your plans and you leave the
customers a extra day to collect their items eg 48 hrs instead of 24hrs. Probably worth telling the driver also
Hope this helps.
