haha 3 weeks and fell apart
they do feel abit like they would dissolve in water.

Uniform orders?

Where exactly do RM source their uniforms? Arthur Daley's market stall or Del Boy's?
Good one,
Super glue, tried that, didn't work. Ended up using contact adhesive that had cost me more than the boots probably did.

Chimney
...yes, and with many of the shitty letterboxes that customers insist on having (e.g. gnat's arses, stiffies and low benders, sideways gashes and push-through rings), we may be better putting the mail down the chimney!k979aaa wrote:A red fleece a wooly hat (red) some black boot's are the trousers red too might as well issue a white stick on beard and a reindeer and a sleigh!. No favours
It's okay - I'm a Muzzie, so I have tenure to make those types of remarks... I agree with your estimated costings: providing such footwear is going to cost more not in the long run but in the short term. Who are the buyers for these? Anyone knows, when you go to a shoe store, you buy good quality shoes... or perhaps this is a ruse to get us all bringing in doctors' notes to say we can't wear the new footwear, thereby reducing uniform costs...? Sorry for seeming paranoid, but those boots are not doing the company any favours - quality or money-wise.pinstripe wrote:majeed wrote:... er, Guantanamo bay?pinstripe wrote:...guff...I mean, surely RM know that we do a lot of walking, therefore the boots should be decent quality and not the cheapest they can find.

Aren't Magnum boots what the Police use?
Perhaps they have a higher spec than the RM ones.
Must say I find mine better than the Doc Martens, lighter and more comfortable,
but then I only use them in the MC.

I got some Magnum boots from when I left the forces and they are still as good as new. Mind you only had them for 12 years.
They look the same as the RM ones but when you put them next to each other you can see the difference in quality easily.

Leather peeling
Also (and this was pointed out to me) - the tongues of the shoes are made of fabric! So, when it rains, they get soaked and so do your feet! What's the point of that? Do yourself a favour - get a "doctor's note" and buy something decent!

Uniform orders?
I got real magnums not the cheaper than chips botch job that Royal Mail have bought, i'm surprised that the manufacturer agreed to R,M's specification as surerly our cheap crap must hurt their reputation with the Police and other security professionals who use them
